This morning, the Tomsk Schumann picked up a strong burst enough to cause a black out.

This comes at a surprise since the Sun is virtually quiet with no sunspots in sight. Only sunspots are the ones departing from the limb.

A closer look does indicate a few areas of interest and possible activity but the source is more than likely cosmic in nature. The below photograph indicates a few active areas circled in red. In yellow we see more activity on the limbs which would expose the front of the Star more to cosmic elements then the Earth-facing side.

It is safe to assume there is cosmic influence which could be anything from gravitational waves to the flipping of polarity from the Galactic Current Sheet. It would also explain the anomalies showing in ACE solar wind and temperatures as well!

Whatever it is, we should see a manifestation of change in or on Earth soon from this.
